Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Clarkson University
Carter Lincoln is entering his first season as the top assistant coach for the Golden Knights’ men’s soccer program in 2015.
Lincoln joins the staff headed by second-year head coach Chris Taylor, and takes over for Matt Konecnik, who served as the Golden Knights’ assistant coach for the past three years.
A graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in Community and International Development, Lincoln spent three seasons with the Catamounts after transferring from Division II Southern New Hampshire University. In his lone season with the Penmen, Lincoln played in seven games and earned one start, scoring a goal on a penalty kick. In his three years with Division I Vermont, Lincoln played in 38 games and had nine starting nods as a midfielder.
Lincoln, a native of Essex Junctoin, VT, has been coaching youth teams since he arrived back in Vermont, guiding the Synergy Football Club in Burlington since 2012 and functioning as a camp coach for Eliteam in Waitsfield during that same time frame.
